SK하이닉스가 고부가 제품인 고대역폭 메모리(HBM) 5세대 HBM3E 12단의 판매실적이 대폭 늘어나면서 분기 사상 최대 실적을 기록했다. 2분기 영업이익에서는 삼성전자보다 2배 많은 실적을 달성했다.
SK하이닉스는 연결 기준 올해 2분기 매출은 22조2320억원으로 작년 동기 대비 35.4% 증가했고, 영업이익이 9조2129억원으로 지난해 동기보다 68.5% 증가한 것으로 잠정 집계됐다고 24일 공시했다.
SK하이닉스의 2분기 순이익은 6조9962억원으로 전년동기 대비 69.8% 늘었다고 공시했다. SK하이닉스의 영업이익과 순이익은 시장 전망치를 훨씬 웃도는 수치로 HBM 12단의 판매실적 확대가 크게 작용한 것으로 나타났다.
SK하이닉스의 2분기 매출과 영업익은 분기 기준으로 역대 최고 실적을 달성한 지난해 4분기 실적치(매출 19조7670억원, 영업이익 8조828억원)를 넘어선 성과로 사상 최대 실적치다. SK하이닉스의 이 같은 실적은 앞서 잠정실적을 발표했던 삼성전자 전체 영업이익(반도체, 가전·스마트폰 포함)인 4조6000억원의 2배에 달하는 규모다.
효자품목은 역시 HBM. HBM을 포함한 D램 부문이 전체 매출액의 77%를 이끌었다. SK하이닉스는 2분기 실적 호조로 지난 2분기 말 현금성 자산은 17조원으로 전 분기 대비 2조7000억원 늘었다. 차입금 비율은 25%, 순차입금 비율은 6%를 기록했다. 순차입금은 1분기 말보다 4조1000억원이나 줄었다.
SK하이닉스의 영업이익률도 41%를 기록, 1분기 42%에 이어 연속 40%대를 유지하는 등 높은 영업이익률을 기록하며 시장기대치를 높이고 있다.
SK하이닉스는 실적발표 보도자료를 통해 “글로벌 빅테크 기업들이 인공지능(AI)에 적극 투자하면서 AI용 메모리 수요가 꾸준히 증가했다”면서 “D램과 낸드플래시 모두 예상을 웃도는 출하량을 기록하면서 역대 최고 실적을 달성기록했다”고 설명했다.
회사측은 “D램은 HBM3E 12단 판매를 본격 확대했고, 낸드는 전 응용처에서 판매가 늘어났다”며 “업계 최고 수준의 AI 메모리 경쟁력과 수익성 중심 경영을 바탕으로 좋은 실적 흐름을 이어왔다”고 덧붙였다.
SK하이닉스는 고객들이 2분기 중 메모리 구매가 늘고, 하반기 고객들의 신제품 출시가 잇따라 메모리 수요 판매가 더욱 늘어날 것으로 내다보고 있다. SK하이닉스는 HBM3E의 제품 성능과 양산 능력을 바탕으로 HBM매출규모를 지난해 대비 2배로 확대하는 한편, 회사의 AI 메모리 제품군 다양화로 AI 시장에서의 선도적 지위는 더욱 공고히 한다는 전략이다.
지난 3월 샘플을 공급한 HBM4 역시 현재 엔비디아 등 파트너사와 성능 최적화 작업중이다. SK하이닉스는 서버용 LPDDR 기반 모듈 공급을 연내 시작하고, 현재 16Gb(기가비트)로 공급하고 있는 AI GPU용 GDDR7은 용량을 확대한 24Gb(기가비트) 제품도 준비할 계획이다.
M15X는 기존 계획대로 올해 4분기에 열 예정이다. 내년부터 HBM을 포함한 D램 생산에 활용할 예정이다. 용인 클러스터 1기 팹(fab)건설은 2027년 2분기 준공 예정이다. 올해 투자는 기존 계획보다 증가할 것으로 전망된다.
SK하이닉스 송현종 사장은 “HBM 등 주요 제품군에 대한 선제적 투자를 선행하겠다”면서 “빅테크 AI 생태계가 요구하는 최고 품질과 성능의 제품을 적시 출시, 최고의 고객만족도를 제공하는 ‘풀 스택 AI 메모리 프로바이더(Full Stack AI Memory Provider)’로 성장하겠다”고 말했다.
